I watched Tree Fu Tom on the computer. And Ariana got slopped, and Tree Fu Tom and Twigs stopped the Squizzle. They used the slime flower to stop the  Squizzle. BY EL

EP - My holidays

On the holidays my sister, my mum and I went to get a pillow pet. It has pink and purple and white. I have been saving up my money. By EP

Worms are as skinny as a string. Birds and hedgehogs love to munch up worms. They have 5 hearts, but we only have 1 heart. Water makes them come up to the surface. By K McG

Book week

We all had to dress up as a character from a book, everyone did so well. Don't we look awesome? Well done mum's and Dad's for all you hard work, you are wonderful! It was a very special day.

Mr J

Mr J our caretaker has retired. He had been at school such a long time. He helped us in so many ways, far beyond his job description. We loved him dearly and are sad to see him go. But it isn't really goodbye, he is coming in every Tuesday and Friday to listen to some of us read.

JB - Snails

Snails are as brown as chocolate. Snails can go upside down. By JB

There was different colours in the ice. When it melted, it made a rainbow puddle. By TC

When we smashed the ice, it shot out like a gun. I saw blue ice. By RA

I smashed the ice and it went flying like a bird in the sky. It was slippery in my hand. By HT

The ice was cold and slippery. I felt strong smashing it. By EL

The Candyman

 We went to visit "The Candyman". It was amazing we actually got to make our very own lollypop.
We took a vote to choose our flavour - most people wanted watermelon.

 We saw the sugar and glucose come to the boil it has to be 143 degrees before it will boil.
Then the candyman poured the liquid out of the pot onto his special table. Steam (gas) came up, and slowly the liquid changed back into a solid as it cooled down, it was like magic!

The candyman added colours to make it look lovely, he used red, yellow and green.

He cut us all a strip, we had to twist it to make it longer then we formed it into a lollypop and stuck our stick in. We have to save it for home time to eat, but we got a little bit to eat, it was still warm = YUM!

Then the Candyman played a trick  on Mrs S and gave her a sour bit, it bought tears to her eyes = YUCK!

LB - Mixing

I looked at the milk mix with the vinegar. By LB

We left the milk overnight. It was stinky. By JB

Water and sand didn't mix together. By AC

ICE

We experimented with ice. We watched it melt from a solid back to a liquid. It was freezing cold in our hands. When we squeezed it  hard it popped out of our hands  like it was trying to escape.

Some had glitter in it, some had flowers frozen inside, it sparkled in the sun.

Then the best bit. We got to smash it with a hammer. It shot across the ground like a bullet from gun.

It was soooo much fun.

EL - Mixing and dissolving

Coffee and water did mix. Pepper and water did not dissolve. By EL

LB - Popocorn

Popcorn gets popped very very fast. By LB

The popcorn is buttery and salty. It went pop, pop, pop. By JB

Drama

For Drama we had to make our bodies into different shapes, we only had 10 secs to do it, so we had to think quickly on our feet. We had to work together as a group, it was really tricky, but lots of  fun.
